The restaurants are good - when they are open. Īs others have said, there is little to do at the Encore itself. If I remember correctly, there are two competing HOHO buses, both of which have stops right there. Altough Bostonians go crazy over those lousy donuts.įor some of our tourism, we took the water shuttle to Long Wharf, which is convenient to a Hop-On, Hop Off bus route and also walkable to various tourist destinations (North End, for example). M - W, the only place open for breakfast was Dunkin' Donuts. Encore Boston Harbor offers fine dining, casual dining, craft beer, seafood. Lots of the restaurants were closed M - W. However, at least last summer, aside from the hotel and casino, the place was mostly closed Monday through Wednesday. The casino was very nice, on a par with Wynn/Encore in Las Vegas. The Encore Boston Hotel was very nice, luxurious.
No sign to the contrary, I assumed I had the right of way, but so did everyone else! But I have always hated driving in Boston - 45 years ago, Boston traffic and street engineers almost killed me, with four way intersections with no signage as to rights-of-way.
Even with the GPS Navigator, I found the driving in Boston to be very complicated, and parking in Boston was difficult and expensive.
We stayed at the Encore Casino/Hotel, technically in Everett, not Boston, but just a short drive (5 miles) away.
